Larsen Neptune fabric you are my favourite!
There are so many wonderful fabrics in the world that it is really difficult to choose a favourite with all the varieties of colours, patterns and textures. However, the Neptune fabric by Jack Lenor Larsen is always a front runner for me as it is so subtle but oozes sophistication and elegance. Larsen’s main focus was exploring traditional and contemporary weaving techniques which is probably why he is a top choice for me as I specialised in weaving when training as a textiles designer.
The combination of coloured yarns in the Neptune fabric shimmer when highlighted in the light giving a two tone effect that adds great texture to any soft furnishing. This fabric would make lovely curtains but being made up of 72% Silk and 28% Acrylic the fabric is delicate to look at but not too fragile for a cushion. I love it so much that I have made three cushions for myself! Don’t worry though we still have plenty more available at Noir et Or in five different colours, Pearl, Mist, Ocean, Gold and Silver that are all beautiful. Take a look at the gallery to view them in different interior settings and then head over to the shop for more information.
